That's one way to get rid of the "easy scratch" plastic Jalal.
All that will be left after this is the dash and centre console emoticon

Re: Driver's seat in T31

Yeah, but mine is not plastic, as I have changed all door trims to the Series II Ti Luxury, which has a soft material there instead of plastic like the Series I emoticon

The dash is covered, so it's not a problem.

Re: Driver's seat in T31

A thought on the back pain re: seat adjustment - it might not just be the seat adjustment but could also possibly be the steering wheel height adjustment that you might need to play with to get more comfortable. If your arms are in a different position to what you've been used to in a previous vehicle, the added back strain from supporting the weight of your arms in a different position could be causing back pain.

As for seat covers suitable for seats fitted with airbags - I drive past a car seat cover shop on Canterbury Rd near a set of traffic lights just down the hill from the railway station (and east of the speed camera) which advertises they make seat covers suitable for seats with airbags, and are custom-fit/made. I have never bought from them so can't comment on their quality. The seat covers I had custom-made in 2004 from a place @ Forest Rd Bexley (between Willison Rd & Croydon Rd nearer to Hurstville) have stood the test of time and are not fading and the foam hasn't become all powdery or detached, and they have been machine-washed a few times. I'm not sure if they do covers for seats with airbags though.

Re: Driver's seat in T31

i have a T31 ST and also find the drivers seat to be reasonably uncomfy. i have had the car for almost 2years and still after being in it for about 1.5-2hrs it end up with either saw legs or saw lower back.

one thing that also annoys me is the head rests sit forward to far, and i feel like i then slouch over more.

I was thinking of fitting aftermarket seats like Stratos, but maybe the previous suggestion of getting them 'Re-padded' might be a good one. Any good seat upholsterers in Adelaide?

Question 2 - Any good head rest replacements? (i'm not interesting in putting the DVD head rests in as we already have a removable dvd system).
