Re: Centre Arm Rest

And why would you want to take them out Matt? This is a factory like fitting that is intended to increase your driving comfort, not a a chrome accessory you will get bored with after a certain period of time emoticon

If it breaks 18 months later, then you're assured to find a replacement part through a well established manufacturer who has been in this business since 1936 (manufacturing) so it's not like you will be left with a hole in your seat with nothing to plug there.

And even if you want to sell your car and the next owner doesn't want these arm-rests (which is highly unlikely), there is a plastic plug that will get plugged in into that mounting ring and it will leave everything neat in place with just 2 small plastic covers on the seats.

Anyway, am not trying to convince you to cut holes in your seats, rather trying to give a better idea as to why doing so, is NOT a big deal.

I'm just throwing some constructive criticism around, you don't need to sell it to me!

You never know when you might want to take them out but it may come up one day! Look how many times I've completely changed my car!

sorry about caps! didnt realise they were on!

Admin Edit: Posted edited and text converted from CAPS to lower case. It didn't take long to do that.

OK mate. Nobody is trying to sell you anything here!

And by the way, the answers I am providing to your constructive criticism may benefit others having exactly the same concerns as yours!

Not yet Adam, the manufacturer is setting-up their PayPal account after I convinced them to do so, this takes a while, but they're packed and ready to be sent to me as soon as this PayPal thing goes through emoticon

Re: Centre Arm Rest

Hi Guys,

I have received the arm-rests today (both styles) and will be test fitting them soon.

They're black leather and look awesome and very professionally made.

Re: Centre Arm Rest

Nope Adam.

During my preparation for the trip later this year I had to use the centre arm-rest I currently have to mount the stand alone DVD player for kids at the back and when I looked at how these arm-rest would mount, I don't think I would be able to do that anymore when they're fitted, so I have shelved this project until later when I return from the trip to try and work-out the best posssible solution without impacting on my current set-up.

Fair enough. I would be happy to try out the larger one for you and take some pics, would have to keep it of course as I would not want a hole left in my seat!! emoticon
