Re: T31 Gas Bonnet Struts Thanks Pete,
OK Guys, I just went outside and measured my wife's Tiida bonnet struts which have an adjustable top bracket and I reckon they will fit the T31 perfectly. It is exactly the set-up that I was talking about which uses the edge of the bonnet bracket as support for the load of the strut and will not twist out of position.
If there is a T31 owner in the Sutherland Shire or close-by who is willing to come over to my place, I can remove the kit from the Tiida and we can try it out on your exy. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes.

Re: T31 Gas Bonnet Struts Nissan doesn't supply these brackets mate. They come as part of an aftermarket kit just like the T30 bonnet struts. They have to be fabricated if you want to get them on their own.

Re: T31 Gas Bonnet Struts Hi Guys,
Paul came around yesterday and we tried the Tiida bonnet struts and they didn't fit. They were too short and the bracket wasn't wide enough, so back to the drawing board we go

Re: T31 Gas Bonnet Struts It took a force of 8.5kg to lift at the front and 13.5 to 14 kg to lift at at point where the bonnet support is attached, at a very rough est i would say 14 to 18kg.
