Yeah, I think am gonna go with the Alphamirror as well, but before I go a head and order it from them (I already checked the shipping cost to AUS and it will be $35.00 bucks), I will check with the manufacturer in China as I just found the manufacturer who makes these mirrors for Alphamirror and we'll see if they can send me a "sample" to test

Mate, I thought you were the one who wanted to do this mod, as I saw your posts on other xtrail forums asking the same LOL 
You'll probably get it much quicker than I will from the US as it's only across the border from you and for the price, am not sure if it's worth the wait as you can't go wrong with it and will be able to fit it on any car you have.

Done.... only US$83 plus $10 delivery... will be interesting when UPS shows... always brokerage fee and taxes....

my only real doubt with this product can it withstand the temperature extremes. seeing it is run by battery. you guys get the high 40/50C while we in Canada get the low -35/-45C. being exposed in the windshield all day could be hard on that unit.... time will tell.
