Jalal

Are these plates mild steel or a modified steel product (ie with higher/better tensile strength or other properties?)

Re: T31 Rear Bumper and Diff Bash Plates

No idea mate, all I know is that the rear bash plates is exactly the same 2mm steel material used in making the front bash plate for the T31 and it has proved to be very effective in withstanding the hits it gets in an off-road situation.

The rear diff plate is a 2.5mm steel plate which a bit thicker.

Re: T31 Rear Bumper and Diff Bash Plates

Hi Guys,

The rear and diff bash plates will be arriving to me in Sydney on the 20th of December.

The ship carrying these bash plates has just left the port overseas heading our way.

I will announce the pricing closer to that date.

Looks like it's gonna be a busy Xmas and New Year break for me sending these across to everyone emoticon

So Jalalski...is there indicative pricing and will you do a package of the front/rear set? I'd be able to get permission from the minister of finance for a couple of hunnerd but if it heads up to the k mark I could be in trouble.

Cheers

Pete

Hi Pete,

No indicative pricing at this stage.

Yes, a full (front, rear and diff) bash plate package will be available and it will certainly cost more than a "couple of hundred bucks" LOL emoticon

Re: T31 Rear Bumper and Diff Bash Plates

Has lifted the car on the lift and has found out grazes on back differential. Began to search for variants of protection and has found this theme at you at a forum. The idea was pleasant. However I consider that if to put Bash Plate directly on differential, it is possible to damage seriously it at arrival on an obstacle.

Together with the friend have thought as it is possible to establish protection and here that left:

For installation regular apertures are chosen (Are noted in drawing blue):

Image

The curve on which apertures and bend lines are marked is made of a cardboard:

Image

The curve contour is transferred on 3-mm a steel sheet. Preparation is cut out and curved on a template (Dark blue it is led round rubber dempfer, established to avoid vibration and differential damage about Bash Plate):

So it looks after installation:

Next week I will go to show this preparation to manufacturer Bash Plates, to discuss manufacturing possibility on a template industrially.

No damage can happen to the rear diff, read the previous replies in this thread regarding this concern.

I'm running out of the front bash plates, so will put one aside for you as part of the package.
