Re: Car polish
Hi all, when I purchased my exy, the dealer had glaze guard paint protection sprayed on ( my cost )and I now wash the car with glaze guard shampoo with carnauba. 100ml in a bucket of luke warm water,I chamois it, then polish with meguiars deep crystal carnaubra wax.
I think my exy looks great after this is done.
This is my 2 bobs worth.

Re: Car polish
Hi All,
I have used the last of my Eagle one wet look and there doesn't seem to be any around did I miss something while I was barsking in my Exy shine. It seems like the wax world has past me by, is the replacement for eagle one the Nanowax product if so what one replaces the wet look if any ( I loved that stuff )

Re: Car polish
Dave,
I didn't see any Wet Look polishes from Eagle one when I shoped around and used Nanowax which is perfect and only needs to be done once every six months or so. After that you just need to use the Eagle One Wax as U Dry spray product when you wash the car.

Re: Car polish
Eagle One Nano wax is great I find, but not sure about only using it every six months.
Carnuba wax, like any wax melts and softens when in gets hot so in summer you need to wax more often, especially if your car is black.
I have a friend who is a spray painter, drives a 25 year old merc and the paint on it is perfect. He reckons a wax a motnhs is the way to go.
Also every six months or so a serious wash followed by car clay and then a wax.
I just finished giving mine a clay and wax, will take some photos tomorrow

Re: Car polish
I finally figured out to put up pictures so here are some shots of the cleaned an polished exy.
The treatment was as follows:
1. Very thorough wash and rinse
2. Chamois dry
3. Thorough car clay with Maguires quick clay and detailer as clay lubricant
4. Wax and buff with Eagle One Nano wax.
Very pleased as it has gotten rid of all the swirls (which you would normally be able to see in the photo of the back corner of the exy.
Alot of work but fantastic results

Re: Car polish
Did the whole clean and polish this afternoon with Meguiars...
We all know it rains straight after you wash the car - that explains the thunderstorm we got in Sydney tonight - everyone else tried out their carcubes!
