well, I put the unit a little further south, next to the license plate, had to cut the fasteners off, and adjusted one of the horns but it about the same place as the Jeep Compass my wife drives. The temp is more accurate in the still position, and on the move it's close to the radio station, I listen to, which is about 40 minutes away and there always seem to be a differences in their temp to ours.

May be a bit exposed to water crossings in that position so make sure it is held securely.
