Jalal
Just picked up in the above photo that the relay that you are pointing to, doesn't correspond to the relay black cover.
Isn't it the relay below the one you are pointing to?

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades

Thanks for the photo Jalal, unfortunately the relay wasnt there, so I need to find one fast. do i need to put a fuse somewhere as well?..one more thing..after putting it alltogather, is there any lights turning on(on the dash, near speedometer or somewhere) to tell you if your front foglights are on or not? emoticon (Just out of interest does anyone know the proper part number of the front fog lights?)

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades

The light on the dash should automatically come on providing you put the fuse in its spot, just have a look in your fuse box and see (under fog lamps) if there is a fuse there or not.
It should be in the cabin.

Jalal had some good quality after market fog lamps for sale a little while ago, maybe he still will be able to get some for you.
They are half the price of the factory ones and if you want you can buy a factory stalk with the switch on it for around the $30 - $40 mark.

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades

Hi Koymik.

I picked up a relay at my local auto electrician for $20 (Aus). If your still not sure where it goes, just ask your local auto electrician to slot it in. I ended up buying a Ti stalk with the fog light switch which is a simple change over. Do you have the new stalk or are you planning on using somthing else?

Al.

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades

Hi Guys,

Can anyone with a Series II T30 that has fog lights, please post a photo of the fog light metal brackets which these fog light sit on?

I'm trying to check something and there are tzillion of bracket combinations for these Series II fog lights, so am getting confused.

Thanks for your help.

P.S. You might need to remove the fog light from the bumper to be able to take clear photos.

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades

Just installed Narva Artic Blue H4s $60 from Repco (sticking with the Polar theme LOL) and the park globes also included in price. Nice whiter driving lights with a faint blue tinge not as noticeable as the super blue tinged headlights like on some cars you see driving around with. I was beginning to notice yellowing in the original factory globes and never changed them since original purchase. Went for a spin and am impressed with the difference along a dark road with no street lights. Not bad for $60 and it was easy to swap over, wiring harness connector was tricky but after wriggling them they came off, rubber boot pulls off, disconnected the spring clamp both sides of the globe and it just pops out. Just make sure no touchy on the new globes with skin, use a cloth if you must. I didn't need to touch anything but the metal plug connectors on the base of each globe. You might have to pop off the upper plastic intake tube going into your air filter box first. Makes it easier to access globe as for the driver's side you can undo the bolt holding the wiper fluid reservoir but I made do with finger contortions. The park globes were dead easy, gently rotate either quarter turn clockwise or anti-clockwise (they can only turn one way) and pull out. Globe just pulls out and new one pushes in. Use a cloth again to make sure no oils get on the new globes.

Re: Head lights and Fog Lights Modifications & Upgrades

Hi All, these coloured globes sound great, will put on list hehe

Also I was wondering if anyone has come across 3rd party fog light kit for the t31 that I may be able to diy or go see my auto-elect. Or am I better off just saving for the nissan ones? My SL doesnt have fog lights as std, just the silly black covers where they should be.

many thx
