Re: T31 Fog lights

Dear T31 owners,

I am arranging for an import of an aftermarket set of fog lights to suit the T31 xtrail (petrol and diesel) and have been sent a sample set along with wiring harnesses, dash switch...etc to try.

I am making the following offer to any T31 owner who is willing to be involved in the test-fitting process:

* The first T31 owner which has no fog lights installed in their xtrail bumper who volunteers to come around my place one weekend to do the test fitting process will secure a free set of fog lights when I import them later on.

They look exactly like the factory one and are made in Belgium.

If you're interested, please send me a PM.

Re: T31 Fog lights

Hi Guys,

Has any ST T31 owner taken the blanks for the fog lights off their bumper to fit fog lights? If so, can you please do me a favour and post photos of the actual blank cover and the mounting hole for the fog light in the bumper? I wanna check the way they mount and might be able to do it through seeing photos.

Please let me know also if the blank cover pops out from the front of the bumper or has to be released from the back.

Jalal
They pop out through the front by using a thin blade screwdriver between the bumper and the cover.
If I get a chance tomorrow I'll take a picture of the instruction page that I got when I fitted mine.

I couldn't wait for tomorrow so I went out to the shed and got them for you.
If you want the whole instruction booklet, PM me your fax No. and I will send them to you.

They sit in the bumper the way it is held.

Re: T31 Fog lights

Excellent stuff Tony. Much appreciated and it looks promising indeed.

I just fitted these fog lights on my wife's Tiida and I reckon they look exactly the same as the T31 and also only held by one screw/bolt from the back.

Did they come with a stand-alone switch or a replacement steering stalk?

They came with a replacement light stalk.
A small hex bolt on the back, they only took 30 mins to install.

How did you reduce the photo size?

Re: T31 Fog lights

Thanks Tony. The fog lights am planning to import will be exactly the same shape as the genuine Nissan ones and they're made in Europe, except they come with a stand-alone switch rather than the replacement steering stalk.

RE: Photos, when you upload the photos using the integrated photo uploader, click on "zoom" and copy the link at the bottom right corner of the page, which is the thumbnail code.

Can you please do me another favour when you have time and measure the size of the blank switch spaces you have in your dash?
