Re: T31 and T30 Rear Bumper Reflectors
Jalal
How many times have you gone out to your Exy and looked at the new lights since installing them?
I reckon I've nearly gone through a set of globes already.LOL

Re: T31 and T30 Rear Bumper Reflectors
Tony,
I haven't looked at them until it got dark to take some pics, so here they're
Parkers
Brake Lights
And now with all brake and parker lights on LOL
Basically, the LED reflectors are a modification of the genuine Nissan ones where the case is split open and a circuit board is cut to shape which consists of 11 SMD (LED crystals) called 5050 SMD.
So there you go , an awesome mod indeed

Re: T31 and T30 Rear Bumper Reflectors
Thanks Tony,
I actually told my wife yesterday that I felt lazy putting up a xmas tree this year, so we might as well use my exy for this this year. hahahaha

The reflector consists of the following bits:
1. The red reflector lens (outer shell)
2. Reflective strip inside
3. The reflective strip is then covered with a backing cover that has the mounting screw bases.
Did you have to drill holes into the reflective strip Jalal for the LEDs to shine through ?
I don't suppose you took a pic of how the reflective strip re-assembled back into the plastic halves with the LED board ?

Re: T31 and T30 Rear Bumper Reflectors
No drilling was required, the LEDs shine through the rd part of the reflector perfectly and the red lens is deep enough to hold the board which is then supported by the base of the reflector.
By the way guys, if there is enough interest in these LED reflectors for all model xtrails (that is T30 series I and II and the T31) I can arrange for them to be made to order where you can send me your reflector and we'll get them modified and sent back to you OR I can arrange to have a new complete set sent to you where I will buy the genuine Nissan reflectors from my side, have them modified and dispatched to you.
I just can't get enough of looking at them at night. They look awesome!!

So what happens with the reflective strip you mentioned ?
Does it sit behind the circuit board and get blocked or is this strip "see through" and sit infront of the circuit board ?
Cannot see this strip in your pictures of the reflector when apart.

Re: T31 and T30 Rear Bumper Reflectors
The reflective surface is part of the red lens material, so there is no strip there at all. When the LEDs are turned off, the reflector goes back to normal and acts like a standard rear reflector.
