Hi Guys,
Those of you in WA and thinking of doing LPG conversions should read the new laws in this regard HERE

Re: LPG autogas
If Ben or Peter from LPG Warehouse could let us know that the Liquid LPG kit for the Xtrail has had emmissions certification testing done and a certificate is available for all installers to give any members getting the kit installed, then this would satisfy any requirements of the new WA laws and negate the IM240 test having to be done.

Re: LPG autogas
hi guys,
We have had many discussions with the Western Australian authorities regarding the JTG.
Where other systems require modification of their fuels lines, etc. JTG liquid lpg meets are
requirements of WA authorities. I hope this clears up the info.

Peter

Re: LPG autogas
Didnt know whether to post this in the exhaust or LPG thread :D so here goes...
I just replaced my dual fuel, V6 Tritons extractors and Cat (crappy, crappy job), due to the fact that the mild steel after market pipes had crystlalised (basically have been so hot, for so long the metal has fragmented into shiny little shavings and sounded like nuts and bolts in the pipe work)) after approximately 80 thousand kms of roughly 80/20 use. Primarily LPG usage.
The manifold gasket was completely shot as well.
Speaking to mechanic mates, the general concensus is that the hotter exhaust gas and lack of additives greatly reduces the life of an exhaust (and heres the biggy  ) REGARDLESS of whether its stainless or stock mild steel. Purely because of internal manifold temps running LPG
Questions to the gurus (exhuast or LPG)
Anyone heard/come across this? Any model, any car
Can anything be done to minimise damge/ extend the life of systems?(apart from run more petrol)
On factory fitted LPG cars...is the exhaust sytem changed as well? If so...to what?
Is stainless impervious (ie NO premature failure due to LPG exhaust temps)?
After 4 cars with LPG (sold before big Kms were racked up) it is something I hadnt considered
Not trying to scare anyone or wind anyone up....purely looking for info I was completely unaware of.
Especially when considering putting LPG on a car that will be my 7 month old sons 18th birthday present :D
Dont want to stuff a thread, feel free to move as required Jalal
Cheers,
--- Dave

Re: LPG autogas
Shane,
Thanks for letting us know.
Do you have any more information about what went wrong yet? or what could be done to fix/prevent it?
I'm very close to converting mine to the liquid injection system, and it'd be very good to know.
Cheers
RJ

Re: LPG autogas
Thanks for the feedback Shane.
I would be feeling pretty crook if it had happened to me. I hope the the LPG Warehouse people are able to identify and fix the problem - at their cost.
That's probably the only way that they will be able to restore confidence in their product, especially among potential buyers who drive Xtrails.
I'm sure they will do their best.
Best of luck with it, and please let us know the outcome.
My own purchase is going to have to wait until you have a good result.
Cheers,
RJ
