Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
Got back from the trip and average is sitting on 7.9.
Alot of beach and offroad work so not too bad really. Now just have to do a trip report....

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
That's pretty good Paul
Took mine for a nice long drive yesterday to New Norcia, which is about 130Km north of Perth. Reset the trip computer when we left the house, and by the time we'd got to New Norcia, the fuel usage was at 6.6L per 100km! Amazing stuff. Spent a lot of the cruising at 100km in 6th.
By the time we got home, after driving it a bit harder on the way back, and taking the route through the city on the way, the usage had climbed to 7.0. Still very good.
Even now, after doing about 50km today driving around the city enjoying the long weekend here in the west, the fuel usage was 7.5....
Awesome.

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
With over 6,000kms, I can report a city consumption of 7.7 and a country consumption of 7.2l/100km.
Chris - how did you enjoy the drive to New Norcia - the diesel holds its cruising speed with ease don't you think?

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
Yeah the car cruises great at 100kmh easy, still has enough guts to power on up to 130kmh before you know it.
Our fuel usage is upto 8l/100km now, after driving to work a few times in the city. We've just passed 600kms.
Really happy with the car, except for the slightly oversenstive parking sensors.
Cheers,
Chris.

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
Hmmm......
I reset my trip computer abour 2 weeks ago. Since then have done about 600km, all city driving.
Car has now done 1300km.
Fuel usage is 9.0lt per 100km... My wife drives like a grandma, and while I don't cain it, I do have fun driving it, but still, not sure why mine is so much higher than everyone elses.
Might wait until it's run in further.
Cheers,
Chris

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
I am not a great believer in the accuracy of trip computers.
Does anybody have real world figures. That is X no. of Kms divided by x ltrs of fuel = Km/Ltr? I don't mean per tank full but say averaged out over say, 5 or even 10K Km? Good mix of driving, city, highway, country, loaded, unload etc.
Cheers
Peter

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
My last fill up was 55L for 700km. Av of 7.86163522 L/100km.
For around town it seems to sit on 7.9 / 8.0. With some freeway seem to be able to get to 7.4. Reset at last fillup and was managing under 7 until around town driving, currently on 7.9.

Re: T31 Diesel Fuel Consumption
My last fill up after 2 weeks of city driving i had done 760km on the trip computer and i could only squeeze 53L in. If my maths are correct thats just under 7L/100. Trip computer stays on 7.0L/100.
Car has done 4500km now.
Thats stop/start from one side of Adelaide to the other in the traffic (no highway driving).
I've found by avoiding the temptation to shift up to 5th helps too, the engine doesn't labor.
Not sure how you guys are getting over 8 - unless you are towing big trailers or something??
