Re: First Caravan Tow with the Exy

Interesting thread to read up on. I am interested if anyone did any offroad towing with a boat or camper trailer (sand, dirt roads with corrugations). I am thinking of hiring an offroad trailer to try it out and maybe after that purchasing one emoticon All I see are the big V8 cruisers towing that kind of equipment emoticon

Re: First Caravan Tow with the Exy

Hi All,

Towing a 1200kg fully laden pop top with tow ball weight of 120kg with an auto 2006 model.

Although not particularly worrying, I did notice a drop on the rear of the exy when the van was hooked up, a bit more than what I would have liked to keep the van level. I had Pedders springs (heavier duty than the Nissan ones - thicker gauge coil) fitted and this fixed the problem with no noticeable difference in the ride with or without the van.

I do not use WDH's on the vehicle and have driven 50,000 kgss like this with no problems with level or sway etc.
