Which way up?

I was just wondering if it matters which way your towbar goes.
Mine comes out of the car then angles down, after Ive attached my boat it seems a tad low, if it was angled up I would have more clearance.
Now I was talking to a NRMA roadside assistance guy I know and he says depends on the car and has to do with keeping as much force on the front wheels whilst braking.
Hope that all makes sense.

Peter.

Re: Which way up?

I don't think it really matters all that much, I have seen them being used bothways.

Jalal is right.
They are made so it is reversable.
All you have to do is remove and refit the towball.

Thanks for that, I think I'll change mine around if I can get the nut loose, extremely tight.

Peter.

Hi Peter,

You'll need to use a vice for that.
