I was only there for a hour,and watched the mechanic do the job,boy was he good,it really only took him 30minutes.He removed the l/h back wheel and the sway bar nut and then the unit.

I have now filled up my exy and nothing leaks so all is ok.The filler pipe is a many angled piece of plumbing for sure,and i was surprised at the size of it,must be costing nissan a packet.cheers

I recieved my recall letter Tue 17/07/2007 and have booked the car in to have it done, nissan have to order the part and I have to wait 2 weeks though.

I now understand why so many people feel neglected by Nissan as I emailed Nissan over 6 months ago asking if this recal had been carried out (I already have 1 recall sticker on the car).

Yeah I have a recall sticker on my car as well, cant find any other recalls that pertain to my model/year, so one is left to assume that it has had it done.

Dave,

Check your VIN Chassis number against all of the recalls (listed on our site) to make sure they have been done by the previous owner.

Got my Nissan Service Manager to check for me the other week and all the required recalls have been done, but I can't find any stickers anywhere.

Some dealers don't put stickers Kev, instead they give you the service invoice proving it has been done. I got both.

When I enquiered about our car at the local nissan dealer (had cat recall and fuel filler stickers, no info on crank sensor in logbook or on car) , the girl could only find the latest 2 recalls on her system. As matter of fact, the 2003 recall didnt even appear on her system at all, let alone under our VIN. I read the recall number to her and even gave her the link. In the end I called the nissan 1800 number, and the guy there found the info immediately. He stated that "the dealers computer system may automatically roll over the older info."
Nissan 1800 from now on....not bashing the dealer, just alot easier!
