New X-Trail

A mate of mine said he bought Wheels magazine today and saw the new X-Trail which he said looked kind of cool and a bit more like a Murano.

Anyone seen it?

Re: New X-Trail

It does look good I'm looking at it now it says it will be out in second half of 2007 built in left and right this means it is going to the US so it says. It will have a part time AWD system 2.0lt four base model and a 2.5 or 3.0lt top of range six. Quoted from wheels mag

Yep, it's the Qashqai concept car that is turning into a reality (which I mentioned in THIS thread) and it will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in 2007.

Now chuck in an extra 2" clearance and a better AWD mode.

Wonder what sort of trade-in I could get ???

Re: New X-Trail

Hmm, I don't think this will be the new X-Trail. Given that the new Pathfinder grew in size quite considerably I predict that the next X-Trail will be larger than our current one and that this car in testing will be lower in the range.

From the pics this looks like more of a car than a serious off-road vehicle, we all know that the X-Trail can hold it's own off-road.

Or maybe there is no room between this new one and the Murano ... emoticon

Re: New X-Trail

Yeah I think there are 2 Different SUV's to be introduced...

The Qashqui Pics (squashy ?? lol)
As Shown by Jalal..
I think this vehicle is to be positioned slightly above the (Tiida/Almera) & it may only be sold in Japan & europe Only...
Is more a Road orientated vehicle..

The Link I posted, the X-Trail Replacement actually looks somewhat different to the Qashqui (more Upright)..
I think the new X-Trail may also be a little larger in size too, than the Current model.
& to accommodate the Qashqui to be moved into the Model Range..

LATEST X-Trail Replacement Info.

Now appears that Nissan has another model in mind for the North American market....

The Nissan ROGUE - - it will REPLACE the X-Trail in Canada and will also be sold in the USA.

See this for more info:

Nissan Rogue

According to an article in Carscoop, the Qashqai will not / not be imported into the USA (and I presume Canada as well).

See below for more info:

CARSCOOP

IF this plays itself out, then my suspicions about the demise of the X-T in Canada come true - and the X-T becomes an even more valuable possession - especially a limited edition model emoticon

We'll see.

Don't know what impact this might have for you guys down under - maybe you'll get the choice of a Qashqai or a Rogue emoticon
