4X4 Australia Review I don't usually bother with magazines but I picked up the October edition of 4X4 Australia as they had a write up on the diesel T31.
Predictably there were the usual recycled photos from the Nissan website along with the specifications lifted from the same website and the usual padded out waffle that gives the distinct impression that they didn't even drive the vehicle.
I think it is difficult for the full chassis brigade to concede any good points to the soft roaders but they did concede " for brisk, flowing driving the X Trail is confidence inspiring and a good - if not breathlessly exciting- point to point tourer."
There was also a piece on page 22 about the DP Chip which is available for the diesel T31.
They state the "black box" which plugs in downstream from the ECU lifts power output to 150kw and torque to 400nm. They also claim DP Chip also have a new vehicle engine and driveline warranty for peace of mind.
Pretty amazing outputs from a 2litre diesel - it's not that long ago a 2litre diesel wouldn't pull the skin off a rice pudding.
