Re: T31 Series II is coming
Wishful thinking mate LOL
If they drop that GT-R engine into the xtrail, it won't be as affordable and it won't be a 4WD version either

Re: T31 Series II is coming
Nah, it won't be as drastic as a totally new face-lift, but am guessing it will come with goodies that the guys in Europe now have with their T31s.

Re: T31 Series II is coming
I dont think you will see hyper rails for a while if at all. In the current climate you will not be seeing options like that .. anything that adds huge cost to the vehicle will be deleted.. Gone are the days when you get heaps of cool stuff on the car for buggar all axtra cash..
I can see them promoting the Dualis in the next 12months so any dualis lovers get ready.
Nissan dont need to add incentive to sell xtrails. they sell them selves so they wont spen extra cash on making them sell.. Times are tough in the motor industry.. Wait until the full value of the aussie dollar fall is passed one.. it will get much worse before it gets better..
As for the v6.. would not think so.. The t30 was available in 2.0 turbo and we did not see that either. We are one of the smallest markets in the world and to build cars for the Australian market takes 2 days of re tooling the factory line. So 2 days of making no cars which adds to the cost of our cars, which is why we don't see all of the models they do in Japan

Re: T31 Series II is coming
Actually even in Japan itself they don't get to see some of the xtrail models that are manufactured for export only and also miss-out on some of the features that are included for say the European market exclusively. I have been told that owing a 4WD version of the xtrail in Japan costs a bomb, so most of them drive around in a 2WD version of it over there.
I agree however that now is a bad time to bring in a face-lifted T31 to Australia, so this might get postponed until the market picks-up a little, but I do believe we will see an T31 with hyper roof rails in Australia in the future. (but no V6)
