Wreckers **Parts Wish List**

Hi Guys,

This post has been lost amongst others we have lost due to the server crash on 14/1, so I'm typing it again emoticon

As I said yesterday, I frequently visit the wreckers (my 2nd home) to look for parts and other stuff and I'd be happy to help you source them or price them for you if needed.

My visit to the wreckers today failed to find clear indicators for Brett, as they didn't have any series II there (all gone) but I managed to source a part for another member.

If you have anything particular on your mind, please post it here and I will keep updating this thread with info and prices as I try to keep above "average" with my visits to the wreckers emoticon

Hey Jalal,

Seems that Jan 06 is the X-Trail month of hit & runs. I am looking for a L/H/F guard(preferably black) and wheel arch lining. I prefer black cause it will show up dints better before I get it resprayed to match my black(non KH3)

Matt

On a side note: Also looking for a baseball bat and a Yellow BA XR6 Falcon with R/H/F guard and bumper damage, bearing Qld plates.

No worries Matt,

Yeah, pretty bad hearing about many getting smashed up, I think most drivers on the road are still "holiday dreaming" LOL

Am not sure if series I and II share the same fender shape, I think they do, but can you confirm which series xtrail would suit your needs?

Re: Wreckers **Parts Wish List**

Yeah it appears a fair bit of holiday dreaming is going on, shame they seem to be dreaming about leaving a note or details. It was only that a little old lady waited 20 minutes to tell me a partial plate and brief description of the vehicle.

Luckily, it is only minor damage just in front of passenger door(with some chipped paint on the bonnet) but trying to straighten a black panel is a nightmare.

I am pretty sure they are the same shape but Series 1 would be a guaranteed fit.

Thanks mate,

Matt

Matt,

The front guards are plastic, at least mine is! Yours being an import might be different??

Re: Wreckers **Parts Wish List**

No, the actual L/H guard panel(connects door, bonnet, bumper and headlight) not the plastic wheel arch flare. Got hit right at the base of the A Pillar. Not able to open L/H/F door emoticon

LOL
Yeah, Jalal I require the L/H/F guard panel.

It happened early this morning so not had a good chance to look at it... Pretty sure it is a metal panel?!?!

Talking about the panel my clear side indicators attach onto, right??

BUGGER: Just realised I am going to loose my blind spot mirror from the guard!!

The panel the side indicators are on is a single one piece panel that incorporates the wheel arch flare - I think you will find the whole panel is plastic! Which could be good news, it might just pop back out Matt!! emoticon

Re: Wreckers **Parts Wish List**

I guess I was just so 'holiday dreamy' this morning that I did not look at it properly. I expected it to be a metal panel so was more concerned with damage to other surrounding areas, bonnet/door/lights/bumper/indicators that I did not notice...

Guess I have never really had a reason to check if they were plastic or not...

Jalal,
I will be checking later on tonight so if for some stupid reason, the GT has alloy guards, I would REALLY like a PAIR of Front Guards L/H/F + R/H/F. I will let you know ASAP what I will be requiring.

Adam,
Thanks for the info, you just may be a life saver. By that I mean, saved the life of the XR6 driver emoticon
Hopefully, they will pop back out without too much damage.
Thanks again,
Matt
