Sad news :o(

Hey guys.

Thought I would use this forum to let everyone know, that I will most likely be spending much less time on the forum and attending less outings, as my wife has just been diagnosed with late stages of breast cancer.

For those who have met her and know her current other ailments, you will know that she is a true fighter, but this set-back has hit her for six.

She is scheduled for a mastecomy and lymph removal surgery on Wednesday, followed by a stint of chemo and radiation therapy.

Due to the late stages we have caught this, the outlook is not all that positive, but who knows. Not something you want to hear with two daughters aged 5 and 1.

Anyway, please keep us in your thoughts and prayers and most of all, love those who form a special part of your life, as though it may not last. You just never know...

Sorry to add such a downer to a great forum, but thought you all should know.

Regards,
Brett and the girls.

Re: Sad news :o(

Hi Brett,

I am terribly sorry to hear this and our prayers are with you all in these tough times.

The main thing is not to give-up and I know your wife is not that sort of person that would give-up easily.

I am sure she will draw her strength from you being around her, so try to block your emotions in front of her and don't let it show.

Wishing you guys the very best of health and hoping that the treatment will bring positive results.

Dear Brett, Francine, little Emily & baby Tegan,

You have been in our prayers since we found out the disturbing news recently.

Although you're a long way away, you have our numbers and we want you to know that we're only a phone call away if there's anything we can do to help. Ot doesn't matter what time it is - if you need someone to speak to, we're always here.

Hi Brett, and Emily & Tegan
Although I've never met you and your wife and girls, I still feel I know you - as part of this extended family we have on this wonderful forum.
I'm so sorry this has happened, and my thought are with you all.

Re: Sad news :o(

Oh Brett, mate I know I've never met you as well but this news has saddened me so much.

I'm not a very religeous man and praying is not one of my daily tasks but tonight will be the exception.

My family and I are sending you love and best wishes and golden rays to help you and your family in your forthcoming ordeal.

If there is anything I can do, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

All the best mate.
