At times like this, the best thoughts of strangers can be good. As a stranger with a "missus and kid", and the only link being this forum...Tara, Will and I would like to offer all our best. This can be beaten and nothing is definate...especially "the big C"....keep fighting. Every moment is worth saving, always.
Your wife sounds like a strong and determined woman, and is used to a fight.
A large community of people is thinking of all of you.
All our best,
Regards
Dave, Tara and Wiliam

Re: Sad news :o(

Brett,

I dont know you, but wanted to add my condolenses to those above. I honestly felt sick to the gut when I read this news, particularly when reading about the age of your kids.

I have seen this sort of thing a few times in the past (never get used to it though) and the only positive is that I've been shocked each time at just how much others will help you when the chips are down. Shame it takes something like this to rejuvenate your faith in people, but rest assured that you'll get the support when you (and your kids) need it.

I hope this story has a happy ending, but it seems that isn't likely. I really feel for you and your family.

Re: Sad news :o(

Hey guys (and girls).

Firstly thanks for all your kind words on the forum and personal emails. It is appreciated. I showed me wife and it blew her away. Thankyou.

My lovely wife has just got out of surgery and the Doctor was surprised by the amount of active nodes in her left lymph area. So, he was forced to remove the entire breast and lymphal area, so the poor bugger has a cut that looks like a shark bit her. At least she will have a good 'story' to tell the grand-kids.

She is travelling ok, but the news that she now requires an urgent full body scan and may need more surgery is not sitting too well.

The next step is chemo here in Orange, before travelling to Sydney or Canberra for a 6 week stint of radiation therapy.

So, first step completed, with many more to come.

Again, thanks for all your support.

Brett

Words seem so totally inadequate at a time like this - all I can do is echo the thoughts and feelings expressed by other members.

I hope that you, your wife and the children will find the strength to cope with the difficult time ahead - God bless you all.

Brett,
Words fail me at this time, but if there is anything that Phillipa and I can do to help, please don't hesitate to call. I'm only new to this forum but I'm sure that I speak for everyone here in saying that if you need anything don't hesitate to ask.

Hey Brett and family.

i cant explain how saddened i was when i heard this sad news.
after loosing a family friend to cancer, i know too well the pain you and your family must be experiencing.
in these situations sometimes the only thing you can do is KEEP FAITH.

you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers
best wishes for the near future and i what ever is may come from, i pray you can find the strength to overcome this.

Cam.
