Re: Sad news :o(
We've done that in NSW and raised money for the VIC Bushfires as part of our last meet-up, so every state is free to do the same and announce it on the forum.

Re: Sad news :o(
Brett;
Have enjoyed reading your posts over the years. Sorry to hear of your wifes situation. My wife beat cancer a few years ago; just because she was cussedd/vehemently determined.
Mental attitude can play a very positive role in recovery. Keep your wife 'fighting' fit, and we are thinking of you both.

Re: Sad news :o(
A big hello to my xtrail family.
Some may of noticed that I have not been on-line for a while, just been too busy caring for Francine.
She has finally finished her first round of chemo and is not in Sydney, undergoing 5 weeks of intense ray treatment. The specialist is almost certain she is cancer free, but there are a few specks in her lungs that have them concerned.
Although it has been so bloody cold out here, she is starting to get used to the 'kojak' look, and a few of us at work joined a while back to show support.
They say that things happen in 3's. Well we have just found out that the cops have decided to medically discharge her for a previous back injury she had, previous to the cancer diagnosis. We had 2 days notification, so as a result, she was discharged today. Just shows that we are just numbers in the scheme of things.
I have been lurking on the forum late some nights, checking out the new vehicles being modified and toured around this great land of ours.
Francine is extremely keen to come on the next trip, to say thanks to those who have supported her with prayers and well wishes, so another Newnes/Zig Zag trip could be on the cards later in the year.
So again, from both of us, thanks for your support during this difficult period.

Hi Brett
Great to hear about Francine's progress. Not great to hear about the discharge. Can you fight/appeal it? Or do you have the energy to even if you can?

Re: Sad news :o(
G'day Brett and Francine
So pleased to hear the good news about Francine's diagnosis. You guys have been to hell and back.
I hope we can catch up in Orange at the tail-end of our outback trip. Maybe an intra-state day trip could be organised (I know that Kev is keen). Will keep you posted.
