Get Well Wishes to DaveJay

Dear Members,

Dave (DaveJay) was involved in a serious car accident on Saturday night. He was T-boned by a drunk driver and suffered concussion and some bruising of the ribs. Thankfully nothing too serious, but he will be in a lot of pain for a while.

I was informed of this by Stephen (loafer) as part of the weekend trip they recently went to and they were waiting for Dave to turn-up.

I wish you get well Dave and thank goodness you managed to walk away from this accident with nothing serious.

I am sure all members of our forum wish you the same and a speedy recovery.

Vicky & I second Jalal's comments - Get well soon, we missed you on the weekend.

And, same as Scot & Wendy, if there's anything we can do to help out, let us know.

Re: Get Well Wishes to DaveJay

Great to hear that you got out of hospital, Dave. Hope you make a speedy recovery and are back (confidently) on the road again soon.

Thanks mate too, for thinking of us while you were in hospital. Getting your mum to send me a text (so we wouldn't be worried about you not turning up to the rendezvous point) was appreciated (especially considering your predicament emoticon )

Any news re your mate's Pulsar? emoticon

Hi Dave, sorry to hear about your accident.
Hope you are back behind the wheel again real soon.
Unfortunately, these things do happen, but thank goodness you are able to get around.
Hope to catch you on an outing real soon.

Re: Get Well Wishes to DaveJay

Thanks everyone for the wishes. Particularly to Stephen for attempting to contact me to see how I was getting on and alerting me to this section that I don't think I have ever actually been into before.

As always it makes me glad and proud to be a member of this community.

As has been said I was in an accident on Saturday night while driving some friends home from a party (fortunately not in my car) when we were T-Boned by a drunk driver.

Fortunately for all involve there weren't any really serious injuries.

My friends are both ok having suffered mainly bruising from their seatbelts and possible whiplash.

The driver of the other vehicle was the only passenger in his car and the air bag meant that he got off quite lightly - As far as injuries go anyway. The police officers who came to the scene were not impressed and I think he'll think twice before trying that one again.

I am feeling a lot better but still quite sore. My biggest injuries were a knock to the head leading to a pretty nasty concussion and some bruised ribs. I don't expect anything long term and hope to be back in the saddle and out driving and living again soon.

Thanks again to all for your wishes and offers of assistance. Fortunately I still live at home, so I'm quite well catered for.

Look forward to seeing as many of you as possible again soon.
