Good stuff Harish,

Where was the 4th screw? The existing guide is only showing 3 of them, so can you please take a photo of the 4 screw positions and mark them clearly, so I can upate the guide?

Thanks Harish, so the photo we have in the guide is correct and applicable to both Series I and II. Am not sure why Ben put a note in there saying that only 3 screws are there in the Series II. Will remove that comment now.

Thanks for the confirmation.

Re: Disabling Key-in Warning Chime *DIY*

Hi everyone.
I hope to get time to attack this project over the weekend.
Just hope I get time to do it, as I have been ripping my hair out, everyday, listening to the thing chirp its head off.
Have decided to go for the switch, behind the seat idea; as well.
Dont want to give Nissan Dealer any reason, to bail out of any warranty work, that might come up.
Will let you know how I get on.

Hi John,

This will not impact your warranty in any way. The only thing it might do, is leave your dealer scratching his head if you do decide to re-program an additional remote fob and after many attempts, the dealer won't be able to do it LOL emoticon

This little harness must be connected for any key and remote re-programming to take place emoticon

Hi Jalal.
Went out this morning, pulled the cover off, was confronted by not 3 wires, but a wiring loom looking thingy, all wrapped up in insulation tape.
Couldnt find anything to cut the tape with, so put cover back on in disgust, after saying a coupla choice words. emoticon
Will find something to get tape off tomorrow, & have another go.

Yeah John, you need to cut the foam insulation from around the plug and then you'll see it.

Success, emoticon
Did the job this morning, with the wifes help.
Once I figured out that the 3 wires, were behind the pillar cover, not under the sill covers; was pretty easy.
Cut hole for switch with soldering iron.
Put it behind the seat also.
Now time a emoticon

Or am I the only one.

Do you mean the door courtesy light that is part of the door trim? If yes, mine is working fine with the beeper disconnected.
