Speed of Forum Navigation

Hi,
Wanting some feed back/suggestions on the speed at which the forum loads.

I use 3G or dialup to access the internet and find that loading the forum seems to take a long time compared to other pages. I have turned off Explorer downloading the pictures and that has helped a little but not much.

When using 3G a speed test shows down load speed so >250kbs so not that slow although ping time is ~640msec so maybe a little longer which may be what is killing me.

Any suggestions or is there another text only link that is able to be accessed to veiw the forum?

Regards
Robert.

Re: Speed of Forum Navigation

Hi Robert
Is that 3G or Next G? If nextG then are you with Telstra or Optus, apparently Optus doesn't always run at Telstra speeds, depending on your location.
Cheers
Julie

Re: Speed of Forum Navigation

Hi Robert,

In general, I have noticed that all Runboard boards are currently slow in loading, this is mainly due to the server being upgraded which will address this issue.

I am using Cable and even with that, it loads a bit slow and THIS test proves that it is indeed slower than it used to be.

Hopefully this will be addressed soon with the new server hardware that Runboard is deploying.
