notification of new posts before posting Hi Jalal
On a couple other forums I have seen the above facility. I often take some time to write my post and in the meantime others will have posted and my comments can be redundant.
Are you able to set up something so that when we click submit, the forum will let us know if there have been further posts - then we have the option of further editing or simply not posting.
Not necessary for the fast ones, but would help slow ones like me.

This is not a feature that Runboard offers at the moment, but I can give you a couple of tips:
1. Always read the thread in full before posting a reply to make sure the question or comments you're about to post have not already been covered.
2. Note the last person to make a post in a thread and remember their username.
3. When you're compiling a reply in the reply window of a thread always look at the last post/reply being made in that thread, if you see that the reply is made by another member than the one you have noted in step #2 above, chances are there has been additional comments posted in that thread and some of these comments may have already covered what you are about to post.
4. If this happens, open a new window and read the new replies before submitting yours and edit/delete bits from it as required.
5. In fast paced thread like we're experiencing at the moment in the full membership forum, it is NOT a good idea to edit your reply after you have posted it. I for one, did not look at any of your edits because I simply don;t have the time to guess and/or remember what are the new bits of information you added to it while replying to 3 or 4 other posts on the same subject. So, it is a good idea to leave your reply as is and post a new one, either stating what you added to your initial reply or what you want to add as new comments and/or questions.

I just did a test with this composition - and clicked Refresh, and I didn't lose it. So that's probably the simplest way around it. Shudda tried it ages ago.

When you are writing your reply you have the facility to Preview your post before Submitting it.
Viewing the preview of your post not only allows you to check spelling and formatting, but will allow you to scroll down past the writing box to see and new posts while you have been writing yours. Then you can edit your posting accordingly before submitting it.
