check out your wheel bearings as it sounds like they could be an underrated or faulty item in few vehicles.
That is a very good advice indeed. The xtrail bearings are underrated for sure and require periodic check or a more serious and costly problem could develop which has been explained HERE.

Re: Clutch issues and potential upgrades
Andrew is right, get our wheel bearings checked if you're almost out of warranty. Mine had to be replaced at 35,000km.
cheers

It might be worth copying Andrew's last post on the previous page (or the relevant parts of it) and Julie's response to the thread you linked to above, Jalal.

The warning and Nissan's recommendation about the bearings is there already Rich, see THIS post.
Please post any subsequent information about the bearings in that thread to keep this one on topic.

Re: Clutch issues and potential upgrades
The menu system on that site didn't work for me so i couldn't see the products and kits. However, the idea of a conventional solid flywheel is appealing and there's nothing really wrong with that. I'd be worried about going too light, you will stall too easily at traffic lights etc. The real reason for the dual mass flywheel is to cut down on vibration, so with a normal flywheel you could expect a little more vibration especially at low engine speeds.

Re: Clutch issues and potential upgrades
Shawn,
The menu system is working, except the mouse over effect of the website is not working correctly so the mouse pointer doesn't change when you go over the menu items, but if you click on NISSAN while having the mouse over it, it opens up the sub-menu.

Re: Clutch issues and potential upgrades
The mouse-over effect works perfectly in FireFox but menus wont open, menus open but no mouse-over in MS IE !
