Re: T31 - Hill Start Assist
In mine it seems to hold longer than two seconds. Being a CVT its not an issue . It seems to take off as soon as I use the Accelerator . Also I have a tendency to use two feet , one on the brake the other the acceerator.

Re: T31 - Hill Start Assist
I asked Nissan yesterday at my service if the hill start Assist time could be changed, or even if it can be turned off. The answer was no.

Re: T31 - Hill Start Assist
I had my doubts about the Hioll Start Assist working around where I live, so I went in search of answers..
Nissan at Redcliffe did not know how it worked..at all ..
I searched the web and found a reference in a Victorian Dealers website, to the hill start assist working only for 2 seconds when in first gear on a hill of more than 10 degrees angle.
If you commence to move then stop again it does not necesssarily re-engage the hill statrt assist.

Re: T31 - Hill Start Assist
Its a useless thing.... It sometimes engages on my driveway, sometimes not. And when trying to take off out of a shopping centre today it grabbed on and caused the T31 diesel manual to stall
The way it is, I wish it could just be turned off, as it seems to be longer than 2 sec - and I can drive better than it works. If I need a hill start, there is a hand brake, that I know is engaged, as I used it.
