Re: Picked up my 'demo' T31 !!

i have done over 25000 now.

the cat converter cover was rattling which took the dealer 2 goes to find it. apparently some of the welds were cracked, which they have fixed, but have also ordered parts for it.

upgraded the stereo, so i can plug my ipod in which has been great. i now listen to podcasts while driving around without haveing to listen to the rubbish on the radio.

Economy is around 10L per 100 now, i have even had it below this as well which is pretty good.

still enjoying the car, great to drive.

Re: Picked up my 'demo' T31 !!

well I haven't been on here in a while, but thought i might do an update - i think i need to start a members rides thread soon.

Anyway...

my T31 has done about 60,000 now, running well, Economy is good. this thing barely gets a rest, gets driven every day. it has a few little rattles but only minor.

My rear tailgate seems to rattle, does anyone elses do that?

in Nov we are going from Adel to Bris in it, and i have about 3 weeks off of work.

some future mods hopefully (if you can call them mods - more like accessories):
Cargo barrier or Cargo net
Roof Racks
Auxiliary/Dual battery - i like the one that Opposite Lock sell, basically its the 2nd battery in a box.
I would like an after-market drivers seat - as the standard one gets a little uncomfy after about 1.5hrs or 2hrs behind the wheel.
maybe some better shocks - anyone know when shockers are due?

I would actually really like to take it from Adelaide up the Strez to Innamincka one day

If you are in brissy give me a pm and we can meet somewhere and we can have coffee somewhere!

hey cheers man.
we will basically be up there next week.
we leave this saturday coming and are taking about 3nights to get there.

In regards to my tailgate rattling - its sounds as if i havent shut it properly, but it doesnt matter how hard i close it - still the same.

Check the number plate and see if its fixed properly.
It could be vibrating if its loose.
When I close my tailgate, the No. plate gives a little rattle, this could be your noise too.

Easy fix, just put some kind of weather proof foam under the bottom of the plate where there are no screws. emoticon

Sounds exactly like my rattle, do not ask me how that clip got in there!

The rear door sounded like it wasn't shut just as you explained it.

That was the first thing I checked and tightened.

You may have to have a look inside and see what it is!

gday,
number plate - when closing the door the Dealer plate surround really made a horrible sound, so i removed that after about 2 or 3 days and throw that in the bin.

i will double check if the plate is loose though.
