T31 Mud coming thru rear door

While out and about having fun today,I went thru a mud puddle and on the other side was a small incline,nothing that I have not gone thru before and we stopped a little way up and I raised the back door to find that the mud had entered the inside of the car beneath the rear draw. 8(

Will take some pics but would like to know why this has happened?

Will be taking the car in for a service very soon and will seek answers why.

Was there anything caught in between the rubber and the door, like a towel or something.
This often causes water to get in.

What did they say at the service mate ? was it a crack in the seal or something similar??

No explanation for it!

They put it thru testing and said all was well and have no thoughts how.

The seals are perfect and there are no other possible faults.

did they hook up CONSULT to it and it see if it found an error code emoticon

Possibility of shoving a hose with high pressure at the seals while door is closed.

Scot,

That mud leaking through the tailgate might have been caused by the leaks in the centre brake light as previously mentioned HERE

I'd be asking the dealer to check the seal of the brake light at the next service.

No came thru bottom of rear door ,being forced up behind rear bumper.

The brake light is way too high and had that tested at the last service.

The rubber seals on the bottom of the doors dont look too inspiring huh, the higher door seals look ok. I had a good look at them while trying to work out how to reduce the road noise, esp in the wet in the back seat.
