$45K is drive away price. And the TL is the top of the range model.
In Perth, we have higher Dealer Delivery(2K) and higher stamp duty than some of the eastern states.
I would imagine you'd be about $1K - $2K less over there.
But yes, they are a lot more than the advertised price, but compares well when to say a V6 outlander VRX Lux (over $50K), and XT Lux Turbo ($50K).
The TD Freelander 2 is almost $60K when on road.
I'd rather have an X-trail, with the 7.4lt per 100K....
