T31 Series 2??
Jalal / All,
Coleague of mine at work has just ordered a T31 ST in Platinum. She has been told that there are none in Australia in this colour that the dealer can get thier hands on. To this end she has now been told that her car has just been built (4th week in October) and it is a Series 2 
Can anyone confirm / deny this new series and if confirmed, what are the differences??
Apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere, but i did do a search before posting... 
Intrigued to hear more.

Sounds like someone with little knowledge has described the T31 as being the Series 2 Xtrail with them expecting the T30 to be the Series 1.

Hi Andy,
The dealer is referring to the T31 Adventure Edition (as advertised on the Nissan website HERE)
It seems the dealers got many stock of the red and white ones available, but Australia didn't receive enough stock of the 3rd colour it comes in, which is the Platinum, hence the wait.
Some dealers refer to the T31 Adventure edition as the Series II T31.

It is not an adventure edition that has been ordered, dealer was pushing her down this track as he had one in stock, but she just wanted and finally ordered a Standard ST T31 - In Platinum??
Will be interested to check it out when it arrives in a month or so.

I doubt it Andy, as the ST T31 in Platinum is available.
The T31 Adventure is still an ST by the way (with a few extras thrown-in)

I am just in the process of ordering a TL. My dealer tells me I will be getting a Series 2.
The dealers have recently received a bulletin about this.
I am told the price has gone up $2,000 but I now get new alloy wheels, bluetooth, reversing camera, sat nav, and some other stuff (I forgot to write down).
The dealer said all X-Trails wholesaled after 1-Dec-09 will be this new model.

If that is the case, I sincerely apologize to Andy, as I haven't heard about it at all.

I don't have any sales brochure, but I did ring the Nissan number (1800 035 035 ) yesterday to check if any of the other specs had changed. I spoke to "Sky" who initially said there was no new model. Once I told her I was in the process of ordering one she found the Nissan bulletin and read what I already knew. She then checked with someone else to confirm that the manual was still available in the TL and that the rated towing capacity was the same.
I would like to find out what Sat Nav they will supply (same as UK?) but I haven't found this yet.
The dealer told me that this new model is already in the "compound".
Either I am being duped into paying more for extra features or this is real.
