Demographic on the T30
Ok... I have been knocking on every local OEM and the feedback I get, not in the US... can't get it... So my response has been... try oversea... they got the network to work with others and they do.... their response.... mostly diesel and won't fit the "unique" Canadian X-trail.
NOW I find this hard to believe that Nissan made the Canadian X-trail that different to the rest of the world.
Does anyone have any demographic info that I can use as ammo on these guys?
Is the gas different than the diesel... other than the engine.
If the info can be narrowed down to 2005/6 that would be good.

Am not surprised at all Mike.
Trying to source anything specific to the x-trail from the US is impossible because (as they said) they don't have it, they don't what it is and even if they did, they can't be sure it fits the xtrail because they haven't done any test fitting on one.
The only things you can get from the US would have to be directly related to the QR25DE engine which they know about as it is being used by Sentra Spec-V over there, but even then you'd have to be careful and triple check before buying because not everything for Sentra Spec-V fits the xtrail (in terms of engine components)
The Canadian T30 xtrail is no different to any other T30 in those countries who have them, yours is Petrol, some other countries have petrol and diesel T30s, but the chassis are absolutely the same.
Once again, I have to say that shopping from the US for xtrail specific accessories is a dead-end and a hopeless case. out of all US companies who knows the xtrail it will be K&N only I reckon 
I know the US is next door to you and your preference would be to shop from there but am afraid you gonna be disappointed very soon and would have to search a bit further....actually much further

Was hoping for more meat and potatoes data.... seeing you are in touch with Nissan... is there actual data that shows what was built between 2005/6... worldwide, continent, country....
diesel vs gas, etc....

In terms of potatoes and stuff, it will help to know what exactly are you asking the Yanks for for them to respond saying that the Canadian xtrail is unique.
I know it has nothing unique about it from other countries apart from knowing that the petrol version has 2 cat. converters and two O2 sensors to comply with EURO emission standards and it has less power than the previous 2001-2003 models. Chassis are exactly the same as I mentioned across all diesel and petrol T30 models right from 2001 to late 2007.
Nissan Japan outsourced the actual production of the xtrail to different manufacturing plants (i.e. Japan, UK, Malaysia...etc) so not all xtrail are assembled in Japan manufacturing plant, depending on the country it was being sent to.
P.S. I don't have access to the actual date and figures in a spread-sheet format to show how many xtrails were produced and where.

ok... I tried jrpoline.ca ... they have a list of aftermarket stuff... more for the Compass but I started asking about the X-trail... and he gave me the "unique" response.... and they carry EBC brakes.... so I am not to sure this guy was on the ball with his statement.
Oh yes... about Mexico... well their emission control don't stand up to the Canadian standard.. I would have to do some mod, which I have to do within 30 days after setting foot in Canada... that means Nissan (BIG $$) or find some that can get the parts. Hence, the questions I am asking....

Mike,
As already advised, instead of giving them the name of the model being xtrail and knowing they don't know anything about it, you need to approach them with parts numbers which you already have and which are confirmed to fit the xtrail.
