first impressions
G'Day All,
We picked up our 2007 Xtreme from the dealership yesterday ( Village Motors at Redcliffe ) and drove home to the Sunshine Coast.
This is our first Exy - the wife wanted it to replace our 2006 ES Lancer çause she felt too low to the ground. She loves it and I must say I think it is a very well constructed vehicle.
Can't believe how little noise there is in the cabin and while it is not as zippy as the Lancer it is a world better in ride comfort except for one thing - I find the lumbar support VERY firm and its not adjustable, guess I will get used to it!
I can see now why you guys rave about the exy's!
Saw the new diesel version at the dealership - out of my price bracket but I would love one!
Just a plug for the dealer - brilliant service from go to whoa, couldn't be happier.

Re: first impressions
Good stuff Mike and yes Village Motors is a good dealer indeed and has affiliation with our forum as we have dealt with each other in the past.

Re: first impressions
We bought our 2007 XTrail from Village Motors Redcliffe in Nov 08 and initially had a couple of warranty issues which were attended to by them with little trouble. First was a noisy ventilation fan which was eventually resolved by replacing fan motor. The other was a door handle plate coming away from bodywork which they replaced.
Have been happy with their service also and very happy with the XTrail. Have done 13,000 klms so far with one trip out to Cunnamulla and Quilpie towing a camper trailer with no troubles.

Re: first impressions
I bought my 2005 this past Sept and was very impress with the dealership.
What I did was on a Sunday, when there is no salesperson around to nag you, I collected all the information on the vehicles I was interested in. That following Monday, I started call all the dealerships to find out their $ on the vehicle and other features I was looking for.
When I called Nissan, they caught my attention real fast, the salesman was a gem, very polite not pushy, when I told him I could not see it until the following Saturday, he said... I will bring it to you. My reply was "great, but you know I live about 40 minutes from you", he said "no problem".... NOW.. that's customer service.
He came to my place that night, we took the Xey for a drive... well the rest is history...
They had to provide me with a another set of keys and kob and touch up paint, at their cost. I seen the bill because the service writer was going to give me the bill until the service manager stepped in and said, he'll take care of this.... (it was $500).
I have not needed their service yet, but while I was there, I noticed all the customers seem to be pleased with their service.... but their price for service is not from this planet... way too high but if they are good with their customer, I guess it worth it.
