Re: Dronus's Diesel Dirt Destroyer

12 Months and 40,000km later my xcy is going in for its major service today. While its more expensive i still opted to take it to Lakeside, they have done a great job in the past so im happy to give them my business.
Yesterday i recieved this letter from them...
Image

That was a nice touch. The present was a big bottle of Nissan Interior Cleaner. Im not sure what they were trying to tell me, but my car is really filthy after a weekend of driving through mud pits in the hills.

Few new additions over the last month or so that i havnt had time to update this thread..
While in Sydney i grabbed the LED indicators (both mirrors and covers), LED kickplates, Bonnet protector and of course the Hi-Tech Twins exhaust.

I have also added a new CB and antenna which is all installed and cranking.

All in all i am still very happy with the T31 Diesel, its a pleasure to drive and quite capable for what i do emoticon

Good stuff Andrew and it's a nice touch from the dealer indeed emoticon

You should post your dealer experience in the corresponding thread and give them some brownie points which they deserve to get in this instance, as that thread is being monitored by Nissan Australia, so it'll be good for them too.

Re: Dronus's Diesel Dirt Destroyer

Ok ill post there once i get the car back this arvo. Another nice touch is the free loan car, a new tiida which was clean and ready to go. Ill post that there too.

While i was showing the mechanics and service guys the new exhaust and dyno results i confirmed with them that the cat-back system does not affect the warrenty of the car - for anyone that still had any doubt emoticon

If anyone is considering putting in a CB, i highly recommend the GME 3100. Its tiny and can be mounted in any orientation (check it out on http://trancieverservices.com.au) That was also the place i bought mine, they were the cheapest and had really good advice in regards to mounting and selection.

I think its time for some pics - ill take some during the week!

I had complete confidence but i asked them while showing them the system in person to get it from the horses mouth just incase anyone else had any hesitations about upgrading.

Next ill be looking at the K&N Air filter so that i can clean it myself every 5000km, especially if its going to be a hot dusty summer.

Yep i lifted it up there myself so it cant be too heavy!.

I have never seen a wind deflector on that style of cage before, thats "that checker plate thing on the front".
Looks good mate.
Does it affect your view of the sky much at all?
