Re: Blue Max (with snorkle)

I have had to delete my Imageshack account due to the porn content (basically the flash pictures apparently saved to the Internet Explorer history, without my knowledge...try explaining that one emoticon )
I have emailed imageshack and had them completelty delete my account, after I removed all my pictures.
This will effect some of my older posts, with pictures missing however I dont know if I will be able to rectify this any time soon.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may cause.

Edit I have updated my first post in this "Members Ride" thread. I have been unable to find a lot of pics, so I completely removed my first post and chucked some pics up. Some posts and pictures in this thread cannot be updated, because I cannot find the pictures.

Regards

Thanks for that Dave emoticon ,

I have used photo bucket for sometime now and it is real easy to use.

We won't hold it to you if you can not replace the photo's anytime soon as they do take awhile to find.

Regards Scot

Good move Dave, that's exactly the reason I made the announcement on the forum advising all members to only use PhotoBucket. I'm in the same boat as you are with my old ImageVenue photos which I keep updating as I come across them.

Re: Blue Max (with snorkle)

BFG 225/70/R16 AT coming soon...tried for 235 but just not physically feasible on the Exy, no room in the rear wheel arch.
Sidesteps coming off as well, dont really serve a purpose.. and minimise the lift because the mounts hang so low...

will be interesting to see what it looks like emoticon

Re: Blue Max (with snorkle)

BFG 225/70/16 AT added today.....love the look, feel good in the few KMs they have done so far.
Definately more road noise, but expect it to settle as they wear in. Steering feels "lighter" and more "pointy" if that makes sense emoticon
Will be rotated and balanced regularly, to extend em as much as possible....should last a while.
Some serious trial work coming up in next few weeks hopefully.
Last photo is of clearance in the drivers side rear wheel arch....about 15mm clear, so 235/70 would be borderline rubbing.

Happy with these though

Nice Dave
I would have put the white wall facing out , it would look good on the blue colour of the Xy.

Did the Xy lift up a little with the BFG's?

Yeah they asked if I wanted "in or out" and apart from having something else to clean when it came time to wash the car, I couldnt reallly se a benefit. I also wanted to stay as "under the radar" as possible from thieves, as quite a few tyres and wheels have been getting knocked off during the GFC....at least it will make them walk over to the tyres and read what they are, before stealing them emoticon

They definately lifted the car...I went from a 215/60/16 Maxtour city slicker, that had done about 15000km. I put the old tyres against the wheels for comparison, and it looks over 20mm in the flesh, let alone what the tyre calculators give me.

Love em, just need to use em

Re: Blue Max (with snorkle)

Havent had a chance to hit 100km yet Kev, going off the tyre calculator it will read over by 7km.
As opposed to reading under by 7km with the last tyres, so I really need to get it out on the highway this arvo and see what happens.
I can calibrate the speedo reading on the scanguage, so will do that off the GPS.
On the dash we have gps, scanguage and the speedo...I rely on the scanguage and GPS when cruising, as the in dash speedo was out already.

The new tyres might bring it all back in line...find out this arvo emoticon
