What size spotties are they Michael?
They seem to suit the front of your Xy.

They look like Lightforce 140's to me.

Re: Mick's T31 Adventure!

Thanks guys,

I actually don't know what size spotties they are, I'll find out and let you know.

The only minor issues I have with Lightforce Lights is that they stick out from the front of the car about 50mm. Image

In NSW law, its illegal to have the spotlights exceeding the bull bar/nudge bar. When I had them on my CRV, the auto elecs mentioned this to cover their bums, but didn't mention it on the Exy. I would love to know if anyone has had this issue with the law? I'm sure you would have to of really done something bad on the road for a cop to defect you for this!

The lights do suit the profile of the car though, thank you emoticon

Re: Mick's T31 Adventure!

You're right about the issue with the spotties. I am sure it's been mentioned already in the the spotties thread. The concern is that they protrude past the body of the car, and may be a hazard to pedestrians in the event of a collision. My personal thoughts are that the pedestrian probably shouldn't have been there in the first place, and more seriously, that the lights have no sharp pieces to be able to penetrate the body, so that would be my argument if I was ever pulled over and spoken to about them, which I've never had the opportunity to do in 5 years or so of having the 240's on... I have been pulled into random breath-test stations a few times and it's never been brought up by the officer(s), and I wasn't going to make their day by bringing it to their attention, either - not that they're hard to miss! emoticon

Re: Mick's T31 Adventure!

They're sticking out too far indeed. I suggest you enlarge the hole in the base of the spotties and try and slide them back a little.

Re: Mick's T31 Adventure!

yeah, I'm surprised that they actually put them on without bringing that issue up. I can probably only get them back 10mm at the most as the back of the lights will touch the grill. Honestly cant be bothered to achieve that minor result!
