How Mrs. Clause Saved Christmas. I'm enjoying it so far, although I think I should have read The Autobiography of Santa Clause first.

Little man by Louisa May Alcott. I like it ,but cuz I haven't read the second book (ladies or something like that - we don't have it in our library - how can this be happening - some people are j.er.ks)I don't know what happened between Little man and Little women.

Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen. When I'm done with that I'm going to be reading Robin Hood (by Howard Pyle) over the Christmas break, and North and South (Gaskell) in January.

"Farewell, My Lovely" by Raymond Chandler.

Great detective writer---and great American writer, too, by any definition.

============

I finally finished reading the 500+ pages of Nelson DeMille's Wild Fire (2006).

I prefer that crime fiction books run about 200 pages. emoticon

I'm now reading Kidnapped (2006) by Jan Burke. This is the newest book in her Irene Kelly series.
