I think it was better that Hub stayed behind.

The Ending of "A WAMB Christmas" (spoilers)

Would you have liked to have seen Hub leave with Anna, or was it more appropriate for him to stay behind.

Did you like how the movie ended?

heh I thought that this was going to be about the recycled scene. :b

I think that it was more appropriate for him to stay behind. It would've been neat for him to help smuggle Jews into Canada and the U.S. But then the Gestapo ( emoticon ) ~ahem~ the RCMP was already onto Hub's helping, so in the long run, that isn't such a neat idea.

I thought that ending with the recycled singing was pretty wacky. I guess watching Anne leave would've needed some sort of ending... though we could've watched the ship sail away. Anyway, yes, I did like how the movie ended.

It might have been a better ending if Hub had left with Anna. Although I love the thought of Hub staying in Newbedford with his family, Hub didn't really fit or belong in Newbedford anymore. He seemed to have outgrown it while he was away.
