You can't change the time zones???? That's sooooo annoying!

Can someone tell me how to change colours in your posts? It doesn't work for me when I press the "COLOR" button, and it's not the same code as at the other forum ( I don't think anyway...since I didn't need the button to change colours there). I know I'm kinda dumb in this way, but if you could just tell me what to do I'd be so grateful!

The time zone is set to Pacific which is joyce's zone. It's like how the oldest original forum was set to eastern standard for everyone.

If you click the color button, a pop-up window should appear where you type in the text you want in color, and choose the color.

Oh okay...I did that at home and it didn't work, but it works here at school.

If the pop-up window doesn't appear, this is an example of how you would write the code out by hand:

[ col=#ff8833]pop-up window[ /col]
(remove the spaces in the brackets)

You can choose any color by replacing the 6-digit code with another hexidecimal color code. Here is a list showing the codes for many colors:

Does anyone know how to be invisible? I feel lame checking in and seeing myself show up so often, ###. It may be that's only available to paying members... anyone know?

Nzie,

I've noticed that when I switch computers, I need to log in again and so I don't show up on the list of active members. I suppose that if you just logged out, then you wouldn't show up? Of course, then you'd have to log in again when you want to post.

Dan

Don't feel lame! No one will ever know you're here a lot unless they are too. emoticon

Invisibility is a feature for paying members ($10 USD/yr). I found the other benefits here:

Or as Dan said, you can just browse and not log in.

Does it take awhile for changes? I'm attempting to change my avatar but I've noticed that it hasn't changed yet.

Ramona, I've noticed that if I'm logged in, any changes I make only show up if I post again. If I log out, they show up whether or not I've made a new post. Weird.

Re: Forum Technical Questions

Just an idle, unappreciative complaint: I wish there were a "View New Posts" feature here. I know that it's not possible on here, but my time has been very limited lately, and it's hard to know what posts I've read and what I haven't. I don't post much because I feel out of the loop of what's happening.

Okay, whining over. I appreciate that this forum exists at all, and am grateful to those who got it going. emoticon
