Everything Felicity: Career Changer and Expert Homemaker
(In the tradition of our previous character topics, this is just to keep on talking!)
As the most overdevelopped character in the series, Felicity went through a lot of changes over her life - not only careers but in personality as she grew up. Her life experiences seemed to humble her.
My favourite career she attempted was being a doctor and I was rather disappointed when she gave it up. Yet at the same time I was very pleased when she married Gus. But the Foundling home and all that garbage in between, I didn't like.
When she was young, my favourite episodes with her are "Proof of the Pudding" and "How Kissing was Discovered." Despite her nose in the air theatrics, she really was funny and interesting to watch.
After marrying Gus...where do you think this led their life? Do you think she had a boy or a girl?

Re: Everything Felicity: Career Changer and Expert Homemaker
I didn't like Felicity at all when she was young, The Proof of the Pudding was a FAVORITE episode as she gets put in her place.
Growing up I grew to like her more but I really wish that she would have only dallied with ONE career instead of many. I really thought they ought to stick with what she was ALWAYS going to be growing up, a housewife. I think just having one stray into a career would have suited her and the storyline better.
I have yet to see Season 7 so my opinion could change dramatically when/if I do.

Re: Everything Felicity: Career Changer and Expert Homemaker
ADmittedly, I didn't like Felicity in the beginning etiher. I was firmly in Sara camp. Yet I did grow to like her as she got older, though I personally hated Foundling home and Stupey even more.
Leave the poor thing alone to grieve her Gus! It was very traumatic and I don't think they explored that quite well - they should have given more Fiz and Cess during that time and brought Gus back in later, as they did at the appropriate time.
I just think that Stupey was thrust upon her when she wasn't in her normal frame of mind. She was grieving him still.

I've always loved Felicity, even though she was a brat...because I was a brat when I was younger, and she was just the person that I could identify with.

### - what did you name her Shelly?
In my world, it was a boy - his name was Timothy Pike and he was a regular little adorable terror, who always carried a sling shot in his back pocket and tried to emulate everything Gus did, down to the way he talked.
Felicity had her hands full!

This sounds so right. I can just *see* him. I can also envision a little Felicity, too.
I liked Felicity when she was older, too. She was a witch of a little girl. And being a mom to 3 girls, I think the ep where Felicity's sooo into the glassware is hilarious...what episode is that? Can't think of it. Anyhow, I loooove when Janet tells her there's more to being a Mother/homemaker than sparkling glassware (was it A Mother's Love?). Anyhow, I love the way Janet handles her, and I'm so thankful none of my daughters are like the young Felicity; although, she does seem like a very capable young lady. I wouldn't mind my girls baking cookies and pies without any help from Mom.

Re: Everything Felicity: Career Changer and Expert Homemaker
I thought Felicity and her perfect housemaker self in the first season was quite funny to watch. I just didn't like it when she put Felix, Cecily or Sara down.
I like the older determined Felicity as well, but she was sometimes a little irritable.
