Organizing for the kids rooms - use bins. We've got bins on the regular bookshelf along with one of those shelves made out of bins. It's a lot easier to get them to clean up if it just involves tossing things in a bin. Particularly if it's stuff they can toss in like a basketball game.
Cleaning tricks - that new Mr. Clean Magic eraser works fantastic! Also, if there's crayon on a painted wall that just won't come out and leaves that sort of light discolored line, using the basic Lysol spray on it up close will "melt" the paint around it so that you can stretch the paint over the stain with a cloth (gently or you'll have a bare spot) and cover the mark.
That's all I can think of offhand.
