Is it to late to save the 40 hour week When my employer went to 12 hour days I did not know they could make us work 48 hours in 4 days and not pay over time.
7K exemption form the traditional 40 hour work week.
It takes me two days to recover from working 48 hours in 4 days. I actually get more accomplished on my 3 day weekend then my 4 day weekend.
Re: Is it to late to save the 40 hour week Lotto, you seriously need to give the federal labor board a call and describe this situation to them. I really think that might be in violation of some labor laws. I could be wrong - I'm not an expert or anything - but it's definitely worth finding out for sure.

but, are you a nurse or work in the medical field? Thats the only job where I can see that happening and it being a part of whats required.
