Two New Verses to "He Touched Me"

As a young Christian and a teenager, I was out walking and praying and started to sing the famous Christian song, He Touched Me. With a burden for lost souls upon my heart, and wanting to express my desire to reach the lost for Christ, I began to form a third verse to the song. The words of that verse follow:

quote:

(verse)
If you only knew my Jesus and His wondrous Saving Pow'r,
You would then truly love Him; You'd serve Jesus ev'ry day and ev'ry hour.

(chorus)
For He'll touch you. Yes, He'll touch you.
Then God's joy will flood your soul.
Something will happen and then you will know
He touched you and made you whole.

Within a few years thereafter, I felt the need to express the second wonderful work of grace that the Lord had performed in my own heart: Entire Sanctification. So, I wrote another verse and chorus:

quote:

(verse)
Troubled by my sinful nature, bound by awful carnality.
When in faith I cried unto Jesus, He santified and set my soul free.

(chorus)
For He touched me, the second time He touched me,
And now His blood has cleansed my soul.
Something happened, now the Spirit has control,
For He touched me and sanctified my soul.
