LINDA'S MILK SHAKE
LINDA'S MILK SHAKE
1/3 c. powdered non-fat milk
1/2 c. cold water
1 packet Splenda or sweetener to taste
1 tsp. vanilla or other flavor
5 - 7 crushed ice cubes (place in plastic bag and pound with a meat hammer or rolling pin a few times)
Blend powdered non-fat milk, water, sweetener and flavoring in a blender until non-fat milk powder is all dissolved. Add ice cubes and crush or blend on "liquefy" until thick and creamy.
Any extract or flavoring of your choice works nicely. Example: 1/2 teaspoon rum extract plus 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring; or 1/2 teaspoon banana extract or 1/2 teaspoon coconut extract or 1 teaspoon strawberry flavoring. Be Creative! Vary your milk shakes by varying the extracts. For fruit milk shakes, add any fresh fruit before adding ice. 1/2 banana tastes very good this way. 1/2 cup berries may be added. Be creative. This is a very low-calorie, tasty drink
Makes 1 serving
Count as 1 milk serving (not counting any fruit added)
