A few snippets of Correspondance...

All of which have been edited for legibility by those who, unlike Creed, can spell.

 ---

From:

Creed, Journeyman in good standing of the Worshipful Guild of Lawyers, Secretaries and Judicial Champions.

To:

Whom it may concern, Guild of Mercenaries, Redcliffe branch.

Enclosed:

One letter of affirmation and statement of witness from Lord Cornelius Lazlo (with affirming statements from his retinue), numerous corroborative reports from lesser personages.

Sir, I write in bitter disgust of the conduct of two members of your guild, Maximilian Krieg and his companion Emil, one of whom is apparently a qualified siege engineer (and who employed himself in that capacity during recent small-unit operations in a certain rebel Duchy).
During the course of less than two days acquaintence I was given to witness or hear reliable testimony to one or both of these two men murdering a freeman for the contents of his belt pouch, evading Noble justive, cowering behind the shields of better men whilst howling wildfolk tore at the barricades of a besieged road-inn in which they found themselves trapped and interupting an honourable duel by detonating a torpedo in the midst of the audience.
Further to these charges, they did knowingly...

Creed, Journeyman in some standing of the Worshipful Guild of Lawyers, Secretaries and Judicial Champions.

To:

 Sir Thomas Hawker

Enclosed:

One diary (slightly edited for content, about which I shall divulge more when chance brings us to meet in person), one map (slightly soiled with blood, mostly mine) and several testimonies (slightly unbelievable, but nonetheless true).

Well, we got out of the Duchy alive, which is more than I thought we'd manage at one or two points. It seems your scholar's dead, but we were unable to confirm it beyond doubt because of an unfortunate outbreak of werewolves and other local colour.
However, it seems pretty certain that the ***** queen is developing a personal grudge against us for our activities - I suggest you look very urgently to the defences both physical and otherwise of your Lady and her household.
We did find out what happened to the old DeBurne however, and why - oh, and we killed a dragon. More on that when I see you again, but I think one of the others has put something in their report about it.
Which reminds me, where did you find those idio...

William
We found out what the *****-queen was doing up here and what the bastard DeBurn's ancestor was really up to. It seems that instead of jumping out of the grave as a lost or a revenent he spent the last two hundred years growing fat on the souls of everyone who died on the land of his retainer (who seems to have lived on as a degenerate wolf-man). Fat and scaled. There's now a crater the size of the Redcliffe slums occupying half a forest in the north-western hills, every degenerate black-stripe and mutant in a hundred leagues is screaming and cursing and generally carrying on and I have a really, really bad feeling about this.
Will be returning soon in company - would appreciate if you would arrange for a short presentation to the Archduke of one of my companions, a 'fens knight' (yes, I know) from Snorri's new order that's bringing him the ancient family war-banner of the DeBurns, bar sinister and all - I don't doubt she has her own contacts, but this letter ought to get to you ahead of other word and you'll know how best to present it.
I also think I have a way to sort out our - alright, let's admit, my - Jaegerwald problem, and since I think we're going to need every man and woman who can hear thunder and see lightning holding a spear on the walls real soon, I want to sound you out on it before I do anything.
I know you have better things to do, but I'd like to think my...

From: Bartholomew Fletcher, Secretary for the Worshipful Guild of Mercenaries.

To: Creed, Journyman of the Worshipful Guild of Lawyers, Secretaries and Judicial Champions.

Dear Mister Creed.

We have no records of any guild members, past or present, that go by those names. It can only be assumed that they were not members of the guild. The names do not sound Algundian, so I assume they are not from Algundy. They may have been part of one of the free companies from Bruinswald or Losse.

We do, however, take the matter of murder very seriously, especially if the people committing the murder are Mercenaries. We have therefore forwarded your letter to the captain of the Archdukes Rangers, who will look into the matter shortly.

Sincerely

Bartholomew Fletcher

Sincerely

Thank you Jasper but you don't get to Write letters from NPCs in our game!

The previous letter from The secutary of the guild of mercinaries is null and void.
