Woah! Here are first images of the new design for Liverpool's new stadium. Not sure what I think of it at the moment, it's very futuristic (sp) but I love that the kop will still be a single tier stand with no other contact with the side stands.
I think it looks pretty good, although I thought the whole point of redesigning the stadium was to increase the capacity?
Shouldn't fall to me to give you Liverpool related info Nath, but the reason they have only submitted plans for a 60000 capacity stadium is because they already have planning permission for that capacity. The actual stadium you see could hold 75000 if necessary. They are going to apply for the increase in capacity later on, once they have worked out how they can improve the infrastructure of the area.
Personally I like it. The worst thing would be if they moved into another 'box' a la Stadium of Light, St Marys, Riverside etc. Good to see a bit of ambition and flair. Agree with Dan's comments about the 'Kop' as well.

Re: Woah! I tihnk it looks impressive though these CGI's probably don't do it any justice, I was hoping they'd build a bigger stadium than Man U just to pi** them off!!.. maybe a 76,001 seater!
