Anybody going to watch the trial?
FORMER Caernarfon Town winger Aaron Thomas, the son of ex-Wales and Manchester United star Mickey, has gone on trial accused of a petrol station robbery.
Two petrol station workers were threatened by a man wearing a motorcycle helmet and wielding a carving knife in a terrifying robbery, a jury in Caernarfon was told.
Thomas, who is pleading not guilty, is accused of taking £12,000 cash from a Spar shop and petrol station in Rhos on Sea in May.
The 29-year-old signed for Caernarfon from Colwyn Bay before the start of the 2004/5 season.
He scored three goals from 40 appearances, but decided to concentrate on a boxing career and represented Wales at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne.
