New signings
PORTHMADOG defender Eifion Jones is set to return to The Oval as Caernarfon's new management duo step-up their search for local players.
A former Liverpool apprentice who gained English Football League experience under manager Steve McMahon at Blackpool, Jones followed in his father Hywyn's footsteps when he signed for Bangor from Bloomfield Road in July 2002.
The 29-year-old central defender, who is a Welsh Under-21 international, switched to Caernarfon in 2005/6 and made 81 starts for the Oval outfit before a move to Porthmadog in September 2008.
Jones, who has scored 11 goals from 188 (+11) Welsh Premier appearances, has made only three league starts for Port this season with competition for the central defensive berths from Ryan Davies and John Keegan.
"We are actively trying to recruit more locally-based players," says Canaries' joint manager Mel Jones. "That’s not to say we are looking to part company with any members of the present squad, it’s more about increasing the size of the pool to choose from."
Also 17 year old Striker, James Evans from the Penygroes area, previously with Chester City has joined the ranks at Town

Re: New signings
7 days notice served on another 4 or 5. Obviously, can't name names just yet.
