CFGBA seeks board members
The Cape Fear Green Building Alliance is seeking board members for the 2009 CFGBA board of directors. Ideal candidates would be passionate about the environment and promoting green building. They would possess expertise either in some area of the building industry or other trade that would benefit the advancement of the organization’s mission. Past board members have included architects, PR professionals, small business owners, contractors and real estate appraisers.
This is an exciting time to be on board as CFGBA is expanding its services to members and the public. One of our goals is to launch a series of professional training workshops to be taught by local experts and approved for CEUs when possible. The new board will set the curriculum for this endeavor. In addition, board members traditionally have chaired various committees such as membership, marketing, outreach, government liaison, curriculum/education and events.
The CFGBA board holds regular monthly meetings on the last Tuesday of the month at 6:30 P.M. Executive board meetings are scheduled on an as needed basis, as are committee meetings. General meetings, which are free and open to the public are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 7:00 P.M.

hi Joy..
not sure who to send this to, but hopefully you can forward...
I would like to attend the next Board meeting(Jan 27) to discuss current issues with the board. As a founding member and based on many, many comments I have heard from members, I have concerns about the possible new directions CFGBA is moving towards...
Please let me know where and if the time/date is correct..
